The 0.70ct diamond has an excellent VS2 clarity grade. The few inclusions are much too small to see with the naked eye. The diamond is graded K for color, and it faces up beautifully with very minimal color. Part of the diamond’s antique charm, it does show a subtle hint of warmth when looking at the side, as is typical for diamonds from its time period. However, on the face up, the bright white reflections in the diamond’s sparkle overwhelms the color. Looking straight down onto the stone, the sparkle truly does mask the subtle color. Generally it is in the white range of color, and on the hand it is difficult to notice any warmth. As an old European cut, the diamond has charming, wide facets that create, bright, bold sparkle. Overall, it is a magnificent diamond, full of life and fire. The platinum setting is richly designed and textured, a testament to the artistry of the original Art Deco artisan. The ring measures 5.5mm across (north south) and 6.1mm from finger to top.
