stunning antique ring with old cut diamonds and rare French cut sapphires! The ring is set with 18 sparkling old mine cut diamonds arranged in 3 columns, weighing approximately 2 carats combined.

The weight is approximate as it was determined by formula as the stones are set in the ring. They are all bright white Old Mine cut diamonds which are original to this piece. The ring came from an Egyptian estate overseas and this piece is unlike most things we have come across! The diamonds range in clarity from VS2 to I1 and they appear eye clean as the ring sits on the hand. Natural internal characteristics can only be found when giving this ring a very close look with perfect eye sight. Because of the age of this piece, some of the diamonds have slight surface abrasions which also are very difficult to see without magnification.

These abrasions do not effect the longevity, nor the wearability of this ring and we have chosen not to replace them to keep the ring in its original state. Complementing the diamonds are 15 French cut baguette sapphires with beautiful blue hue. These gemstones are believed to be synthetic as it was common to use synthetic gemstones during the time period when this ring was crafted. We cannot say with 100% certainty that these gemstones are natural or synthetic without further testing. Synthetic or not, these sapphires are incredibly rare and make this ring very special! The ring is made from predominantly sterling silver and it was quite a labor intensive piece to craft. There is a small amount of gold and palladium in this ring as well. It is a true testament to the artisans of the early 1900s. It is a exquisite work of art and a true collectors item that is being offered at a great price. The design is quite beautiful and we are confident you will fall in love with this piece from the moment you first see it! The measurements are 23.3mm across (north-south) by 3.2mm from the finger to the top of the ring.
